Longleat Food Festival

I am so excited for this weekend (and praying for sunshine!) as for the first time ever we will be hosting a Food Festival at Longleat.

On Saturday 10th – Sunday 11th June, Longleat will become home to its very own ‘local market’ selling fresh produce from brands and retailers from the local area.

There will be some of my absolute favourites including local Wiltshire chillies, and even a stall for our own Longleat honey.

James Martin formerly of Saturday Kitchen, and Nadiya Hussain, the amazing Bake Off winner, will also be joining us over the weekend to offer live cooking demonstrations too. I’ll also be joining them for one demo, which will be a first for me – I can’t wait to get stuck in though and learn some new tips.

I’m also excited to be introducing my very own “Afternoon Tea” to Longleat at The Orangery, as part of the weekend’s celebrations. It’s something I’ve been working on with the team for a while, and I’m looking forward to sharing it with you all, it’s a real dream come true for me.

I really wanted it to be a reflection of Longleat and what we stand for, unique, wondrous experiences, rich British heritage and tradition; meaning everything will be made using locally sourced ingredients and flavours where possible.

Expect delicate but delicious tea sandwiches, my homemade meringues, intricately crafted cakes and all served with our gorgeous Longleat sparkling wine.

If you’d like to join us, then you can buy tickets on the Longleat website: Longleat.co.uk

Hope to see you there!

We so enjoyed afternoon tea in the Orangery yesterday and it was a delight to chat with you there and watch/photograph you spending time with visitors. Your dignity, humility, and beauty so remind us of Lady Diana. Longleat and the family are so fortunate to have you.

Years ago I said to David Bradley that Longleat has the potential to succesfully add a higher quality of dining, in the Orangery, we hope that you keep it going.

    Kind regards

Thank you so much for the kind words and for attending my afternoon tea – I’m pleased to hear that you both enjoyed it! This was a special edition for the Food and Drink festival but I’m happy to let you know that we’re currently in the process to make it available every weekend for the rest of the summer! More information will be shared here, on my website, very soon. Emma x
